CONVENTIONS AND TOURISM

The Lexington Minute Men offer the perfect welcome to visitors to Historic Massachusetts. During recent years, the Company has performed opening ceremonies at conventions and conferences for Ford Motor Co., IEEE, The Boy Scouts of America, The Vega Group, and many others.

Attired in Colonial clothing, or our "Buff and Blue" George Washington style uniforms, the Minute Men add a historic flavor to any venue. Able to provide fife and drum accompaniment to the flags of the American past, visitors will thrill to the Town Crier welcome, or the Living History retelling of that fateful day in 1775.

The Minute Men can provide speakers on subjects of local Colonial history with displays of uniforms and flags. The recounting of the events of April 19, 1775 evoke strong emotions when coupled with the visual stimulation provided by the elaborately outfitted Minute Men.

The Lexington Minute Men Company is the direct descendant of those original brave citizens that stood for their freedom on Lexington Green. In continuous service since 1773, the Company re-enacts the Battle of Lexington every year. It is our goal to spread knowledge of our heritage through speaking engagements whenever possible.

Visitors to New England are fascinated with the true story of Patriot's Day. Raised on the "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere," many misconceptions are explained through historic anecdotes. Patriot's Day outside Massachusetts is rarely recognized, nor its importance understood.

The Lexington Minute Men can be hired to welcome your convention guests and bring a warm Colonial welcome to your function. For more information about our services, please contact us at waynemccarthy@rcn.com. We will be happy to send you our services brochure for your review.
